
Co-curricular activities are now an essential part of education. These activities not only groom the students in different spheres of life, but also create sportsman spirit in them. In this character building process they learn discipline, tolerance, patience and above all how to work together as a team. APS&C for Girls (Azam Garrison) follows APSACS activities plan as well as LGES activities throughout the year.
APS&C for Girls (Azam Garrison) planned to go the
virtual way to mark Pakistan’s 74thIndependence Day to ensure the students
do not miss out on commemorating the day even amid the Covid-19 threat. The
students expressed their fervour of patriotism by writing patriotic poetry,
making posters and singing national songs and shared the images and videos
in their class groups. Although the students couldn’t be present in the
campus physically yet they were able to experience the online celebrations.
13th International Kangaroo Science
Contest (IKSC) 2020was held online due to Covid-19 situation.42 students
participated from Army Public School &College for Girls (Azam Garrison).
Zahra Shehryar won a Bronze Medal and touch screen light up logo ball pen.
She secured the first position at the District Level and third position at
the National Level.

The students of APS & C For Girls (Azam Garrison) Participated in Oxford Big Read competition 2020.At Level 3, Meryam Riaz got the position of Second Runner Up at National Level and Zahra Shehryar and Sara Roshnikhave been declared as Regional Winners. Bravo! Shiny stars.
APS & C For Girls (Azam Garrison) organized a
magnificent function on 22ndFeb, 2020
to commemorate the completion of 70 glorious years of the institution. All
old students were intimated and an Alumni meet was organized. The staff
members who had been with the school since many decades were felicitated at
the event for their invaluable services to the school by the Principal
MrsTahmeenaJafri The former Principal of the School MrsSeemaShahid ,
teachers and Alumni of APS & C For Girls (Azam Garrison ) shared their
priceless experiences being a part of the institution. They were awarded
with souvenirs. The Alumni members paid homage to their institution and
shared their nostalgic memories of the school days. At the Alumni reunion, a
lucky draw session was organized and the Alumni were awarded with prizes. At
the end, the musical band amused the audience with their cheerful
performance.
To promote creative and co-curricular activities the students are motivated to join various clubs i.e Debating Club, Dramatic Club, Science Club, etc. The English Literary Society and Bazm-e-Adab hold periodic meetings where the students are encouraged to develop their talent. Qirat competition are held annually. Periodic Quiz Competitions are arranged to improve the overall level of awareness of the students. Science and Art exhibition are also held on regular basis.
Acting upon the instructions issued by APSACS Secretariat and to engage students in useful pursuits and develop in them love and enthusiasm for sports, four houses have been formed. The names of the houses are:
Senior girls are given various prefectorial appointments in order to provide them with an opportunity to develop their leadership potential and inculcate in them a sense of justice, responsibility and devotion to duty. House captains from Class VIII and X and Deputy Head Girl from X are elected in May from the school section. The Head Girls and House Captains from College are elected in May from school section. The Head Girl and House Captains from College are elected through a secret ballot later in September every year.
